Q. How long does it take for my server to be provisioned?

A. Typically we have servers in stock, ready to be provisioned same business day. In certain circumstances, however, it may take 24-48 hours to provision your server. We will update you regularly during the provisioning process.

Q. What is the difference between BYOM and MiniHosted services?

A. Our BYOM service allows you to ship your Mac Mini to us and for a nominal fee, we will co-locate the equipment in one of our two data centers.  Prior to shipping, a static IP address will be provisioned.  Simply enter this information and ship your Mac Mini to us – we will do the rest!  Our MiniHosted product includes a brand-new or re-provisioned Mac Mini and is connected to the same state-of-the-art network.  If the Mini fail’s or encounters hardware failure, it will be replaced within 4 hours.

Q. Why a Mac Mini?

A. The Mac Mini is an ideal hardware configuration for web site and database hosting, sandbox development, VoIP applications and off-site storage/backup.  Apple’s Mac Mini Server can be configured with RAID (by our staff prior to provisioning) and ships with OS X Server.

Q. Is hosting with MiniColo secure?

A. Whether you purchase our MiniColo service or you colocate with us, your equipment is stored in a secure cage that is only accessible by our staff.  Our data centers require either biometric of HID access and are under 24X7 video surveillance.
